How Spending 30 Minutes in Bed with Nintendo Changed Me

It's interesting that this opinion piece says that the other day's Nintendo Direct made this guy do a 180° and decide he wants a Wii U, but Tom Mc Shea's opinion piece over on gamespot said that not only was no one excited about Nintendo's coming games but that it would NOT cause people to want to buy a Wii U. So, who's right? The out of touch editor or the guy who decided to buy a Wii U?

Ultimately they are both right to some degree. However, a lot of the people that claim it wasn't very impressive don't even own a Wii U, so why would they be impressed? That would be like me making a statement about some upcoming Sony games that I am not thrilled about. Well who cares, I don't own a PS3 so why do I need to broadcast to the world that I am not excited about any upcoming games from Sony? To be a troll? Perhaps...

Anyways, I appreciate the honesty in this person, clearly someone who wasn't the biggest supporter of Nintendo lately, but the upcoming games all connect with this gamer on some level thus his reasoning for wanting to purchase the system.

Just because a game or two doesn't interest you doesn't mean that there won't be throngs of gamers out there who just can't wait to try out the new Fire Emblem or a Wind Waker HD Remake. Don't be so foolish to think that everyone in the world enjoys the same games as you and only you, we are all created differently, so it's only natural that we all have different tastes.

For anyone who's a fan of JRPG's, I would be shocked to hear if anyone wasn't at least a little bit excited for the new Monolith Soft game. I mean the trailer alone only fuels your imagination as to how grand this game can be. And if Xenoblade Chronicles was any indication of how deep this game can be, then we have hours upon hours ahead of us digging into this game. Not to mention it is clearly the best looking Wii U title to date, and that isn't saying much because the system is all of 2 months old at this point.

And finally yes, a lot of the games announced were games that we were expecting, so sure there might not have been a huge surprise. But I can guarantee you that most if not all of us Wii U adopters are eagerly awaiting the next Legend of Zelda, 3D Mario or Super Smash Brothers. So while it may not mean much to you non-Wii U owners, to us, the news reads like heaven on earth. We want the 1st party Nintendo games in glorious HD. We can't wait for our next adventure with Link or our next romp through the Mushroom Kingdom with good ol' Mario.

I, for one, was very excited to read all the news about the upcoming releases, and the fact that the majority of these games will be playable at E3 just makes me want May to come that much quicker.

A- 50% of Gamers are ''uber mature hardcore'' anti-Nintendo gamers who only play PS , XB , PC

B-50% of Gamers are ''actually hardcore'' gamers who Play Nintendo , PS , XB , PC or just Nintendo.

fact is wiiu is a fantastic system and nintendo seem to be working their butt off to correct the few hickups of the past by courting third parties, by going online in force, by putting tvii in the package....so the great games are coming also....haters will hate...i just hope wiiu is 5 million ahead by the time the other systems launches which i expect it to be just base on faithful nintendo customers alone so that the games keep coming.
