Ni No Kuni Wizard Edition selling at ridiculously high price

Remember how the first Bioshock’s Limited Edition was so rare that people put it up on Ebay at ridiculously high amount? Well, Ni No Kuni Wizard Edition is experiencing the same thing, with the product becoming very limited and Namco is having trouble meeting demands.

Either way, some people got more money than brains enough to pre-order. Rarely do I ever buy a non-standard edition. With that kinda money I can buy several games. My nephew only buys limited/collectors editions, but he has about 30 this gen games in his collection, and I have between 500-600 this gen games in my library. I prefer a library to a collection.

there's a really good reason why its selling like that, yeah im calling it, Ni No Mila Kunis will be the ChronoTrigger of this generation.

oh and the book..... 300 PAGES OF SIMPLY RIDICULOUSLY DETAILED AWESOMENESS!

I agree with you there but this wizard edition is pretty neat. Having the spellbook from the game in a physical form really helps. I find it tedious having to pause the game search the book, zoom in when you can read the text etc etc etc. For an extra $40 it was totally worth it.

Don't get me wrong, I think collector's/limited editions are cool, but I just can't spend that kind of money on a game. Hell, I think $60 is too much in most cases. The Last of Us Collector's edition looks really cool because it comes with the statue which is valued at more than the entire package, but I still can't bring myself to drop $200. I can have about 4 new games for that price, and I'll always opt for more games.

@guitarded77 It's not an intelligence issue. The wizard edition was only available for a short period of time through the NAMCO store. By the time I heard of it, it wasn't available for preorder.

USEYOURFIST1193d ago

its not that they didnt pre order its that namco took the pre orders but took too many and have failed to honour all of the pre orders they took!!

I have this edition ordered in the uk and will be very annoyed if this happens over here to

i could have pre ordered but since all their orders were handled by digital river which has the worst support shipping wise that scared me off

if this thing was available at amazon, gamestop etc, it would have been a day one

just google digital river problems and you will see what i am talking about, sad thing is so many publishers use DR.

I didn't buy the Wizard Edition because it was called the Wizard Edition.

Gave me flashbacks to the Phantom Menace.

*shudder*

You should see the price of the DLC codes on ebay

i must be missing something here, this game looks absolutely horrible but they hype for it is amazing.

MGSmarioPRO1194d ago

We can just read things like this on internet.

wolokowoh1194d ago

Then you are missing something. If you like old school jrpgs, pokemon games, or even just a good family friendly story every once in a while, it's literally perfect for you. If not, you're not part of the niche and won't understand the hype. I have the game and am 20 hours in. Its pretty amazing so far in my opinion.

TriangleOffense1193d ago

yeah everything you said does not apeal to me and the fact that its turn based is a absolute no play for me. Im not saying its bad just nto for me and I dont understand the hype for it

Reborn1194d ago

They'll probably do one last restock (maybe). Then after that.. it will be out.

Still, I'm fine with the normal edition. I'm not fine with the wait. :(

admiralvic1194d ago

If they do a last restock it will only be to fulfill the orders of those that got screwed.
