Look's pretty much the same. I saw a comparison of the framerate too, both run at 60fps with neither of them going below 46fps for the most part.

Look's like a game worth buying on either console.

Played the demo, was surprisingly fun. Very fast paced, cool music, nice parry mechanic. It's impossible to not feel like a badass whilst slicing up an enemy lol

His moves are pretty much exactly the same as they were in Playstation all-stars too. Superbot definitely stayed true to the source material.

Should be a great game

@enemy
pretty much

360 port has screen tearing and isn't v-synced = fail
PS3 version doesn't tear and is v-synced

Identical frame rate on both = PS3 version wins

The PS3 version also has sharper image quality due to less compression.

"The PS3 demo sails north of 3GB, while the Xbox 360 game is just 1.8GB.The variance here appears to be almost entirely down to the video sequences - they're of a reasonable enough quality on the Microsoft console, but it's no exaggeration to say that they're almost entirely pristine on the PS3 - that's all down to the presence of the Blu-ray disc for the final build, which offers Platinum so much more raw storage, allowing for higher quality video encodes."

...and yet people still want to believe blu-ray doesn't matter.

lol wow.. Would never buy this on xbox either way but im shocked that platinum did a better job on PS3

Sounds like Platinum learned from Bayonetta. Wonder if Bethesda would follow.
...
Nah, can't see it happening

No one should be surprised ever since the lead programmer stated that the PS3 version would be better.

http://www.gamesthirst.com/...

"“We all versions of the game with great care and effort build. But hardware constraints we are sometimes annoying. But the problem we have in the PS3 console and power top the console allows us to make our best game. So it is natural that the So it is natural that the PS3 version is better than the other two versions,” He said via gamefa (thanks to google translate)."

I buying it on the PS3, simply because I associate Metal Gear more with PS than Xbox.

THat being said the game is surprisingly good. I expected as much from Platinum, but with the cancelation I was worried. It's not standard Metal Gear, but it's a really good action game, and it may be the game to really push number for Platinum.

Platinum are proving they're one of the best out there, and easily top 5 in Japan, maybe top 3.

Yeah pretty much looks the same. Buy it on your console of choice, in the end everyone wins

You've got to hand it to P*. After the mishap of Beyonetta on Ps3 they've really come around and learned to develop for it, and it shows in Vanquish and MGR.

Hicken1281d ago

Keep in mind: they didn't actually do the PS3 port of Bayonetta. I wish they had, though.

This doesnt have move support does it?
Wasted opportunity if it doesnt. Seems like it was made for it.

The PS3 version looks better.

brich2331281d ago

How can you judge the quality of how the game looks by watching bad youtube video compression. They both look like shit.

Max-Zorin1281d ago

They look the same to me.
