I know how: Restore back to Windows 7.

It must suck to buy a new computer these days, since most of the good computers come with Windows 8 pre-installed. Although I do see some computers selling with Windows 7.

Another solution would be to not play games which require Games for Windows LIVE.

Easy solution to get Windows 7. You build it yourself, pick up Windows 7, and save several hundred dollars.

By build I mean you open up about a dozen boxes, plug in the components (its so easy now all the plugs will only fit into the correct slot) and go. Watch one of 1,000+ youtube vids if uncertain.

Honestly a monkey could build a pc nowadays.

Dirt 3 requires games for windows, even though it's through steam. fking stupid imo.

I had to do this recently to play Arkham Asylum, but it was worth it, that game is beyond awesome.
