How To Start Your Game Narrative

The Extra Credits crew tells why building a game from the story up is a bad idea. Doing so creates constraints that might end up bogging down the rest of the game, making players uninterested in the world you've created and unattached to the characters in it. The best game stories are written along with the development, not before it. It's not what budding designers want to hear, but it proves itself true time and time again. (Culture, Dev, Industry)
