DmC Devil May Cry Review: A Sensational Reboot By Ninja Theory l Entertainment Fuse

Arriving five years later as Ninja Theory takes the mantle and releases Devil May Cry, DmC for short, which is touted as a reboot of the franchise. When announced fans outraged about the redesigned Dante, it didn't feature an inkling of his former self's appearance. Fans have been bashing it and still are today. But much like The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, DmC manages to not only put fans' cries and outrages in their place, but also manages to surpass expectations. DmC is absolutely phenomenal and here's the review to tell you why. (DmC: Devil May Cry, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 9.0/10

Glad to not see an article saying how its so horrible & an injustice to the original. I actually liked the new one its a fun game!

Most of the reviews I've seen have been very positive. Its sad that some long time fans are passing on this game because of a design change when its obvious that this game is leagues better than DMC2. Hell, judging from what I played it seems better than DMC4.

"when its obvious that this game is leagues better than DMC2"

That's not saying much.

Agreed also,people who just played the demo doesn't validate that the game sucks especially when it's just a DEMO,NT did a good job,Capcom made a wise choice hiring them to develop this classic game as a reboot.

It's a very good game. They did a very good job with it.

So am I not allowed to not be interested in this one? I mean I played the demo and did not enjoy it at all. Does that not "validate" my point on it enough for the commenters above? Whatever. If there's someone out there enjoying this game (and I'm sure there are many) power to you. But be courteous and respectful enough to leave fans who didn't enjoy the demo, for whatever reason, out of it.

@maddfoxx

I appreciate the sentiment, and I agree with you. that's a very petty reason to write off the game. I personally thought the gameplay felt too different and watered down and I hate what they've done with the story and characters. That's the part I hate most. Reboot or not, there is no reason to tell such a bitter and mean spirited story IMHO.

At least you gave it a try and decided for yourself that you didn't like it. I know everyone has a preference and that there a lot of people out there who genuinely don't like this game. I'm not bashing you because you dont like the game. Im just annoyed with the people who refuse to play the game, because it was made by westerners, and then go into message boards claiming how much it sucks when they didn't even give it a try.

Got it on PC. Not really a hardcore fan; just want something to play. Release date in 2 days :)

Very cool game.I was a die hard fan of the older dmc and was upset about the reboot,but the truth is the truth.they did a very good job and this game is satisfying.
