Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable Review [BuzzFocus]

Even with all of its flaws, what makes EDF 2017 a worthwhile experience is the sheer ridiculousness of it. Waves upon waves of giant bugs and enemies are coming after you in a city and you have the opportunity to blow them all up with rockets, machine guns, et al. There is something wholly satisfying when you take out 5-6 monster ants with one rocket. And with unlimited ammo for certain weapons, you can also take the liberty to shoot from long distances to test your aim/luck or shoot at buildings and bridges to see them crumble down. Add to that offline and online multiplayer and what you have is also a hefty amount of replayability. (Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable, PS Vita, Xbox 360) 6.0/10
