Black Ops 2 and Medal of Honor: Warfighter are now officially banned from retailers across Pakistan. Pakistani officials believe that games like Black Ops 2 and Medal of Honor are a part of psychological warfare and are an effort to malign the minds of youth against Pakistan.
Really dude?
"The number of copies sold does not account for the unprecedented quantity of pirated copies available for just under $2 available in Pakistan."
I, myself, used to buy CoDs but now I don't buy shooters unless it's Killzone or Resistance.
But seriously. I've seen 2nd graders in my school talk about CoD.
But I do agree with what's been said. There are WAY more pirated copies sold than official copies sold. Xbox is just plain pirated here. About 99% people have their Xbox hacked. While PS3, only a few have hacked. Most are original.
This is interesting but very unneccessary.
Pearl Harbor is kind of a bad example as it was an epic fail for the Japanese in hindsight.
But if you were to flip sides on a COD type shooter, it may not go over well. It would really depend on the context. It wouldn't be banned, but it might not sell well.
