I sure hope so, big publishers while making great titles have to play it safe because the profit is kept on a higher pedestal than the product. Which being a corporation makes perfect sense. That and this online pass, DRM what ever you want to call it is just horrid.
The next-gen is already here. Just buy a PC and have done with it.
