Gi - Noble Nutlings is the first game release from Boomlagoon, a company started by ex-Rovio employees. Yes, that Rovio. The same Rovio that unleashed the fowl-flinging, swine-slaying phenomenon known as Angry Birds. Considering the widespread popularity that their previous game was able to achieve, Boomlagoon’s founders certainly have a lot to live up to.
MacWorld: Cute cartoon animals, physics-based puzzles, and a star-based rating system—sound familiar? Noble Nutlings for iOS is a bouncy, cart-swerving drive down memory lane. Boomlagoon, an indie team that happens to be made up of many ex-Rovio (of Angry Birds fame) developers, is the development brains behind the physics-based Nutlings. The interface, art style, and the build-a-contraption and obstacle course gameplay mechanics are reminiscent of Rovio's recent venture, Bad Piggies.
148apps: Is Noble Nutlings really the next Angry Birds? That's a matter of opinion. However, it *is* a fun casual game.
AppSmile: Noble Nutlings, a speedrun-platforming-style offering from Boomlagoon (comprised of ex-Rovio employees), is now available from the app store.
