DmC’s Dante Is One Of The Best Characters In Video Games
If Capcom did anything right with the new DmC, it is the Dante. Whether the hairdo is good or not, that’s not the point. The point is that Dante in DmC may be one of the best characters in a video game.
(DmC: Devil May Cry, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
Whoah there, I understand people liking him and that's perfectly fine, but deeming him one of the best video game characters, even better than the classic Dante, sounds like an overstatement to me.

Not really. If you look at the praise the idiot masses are giving this DMC solely because this dante is so "edgy" and "so cool cuz he gets laid" this kinda reaction is not surprising at all. Its no secret Capcom wants to make this into a movie starring channing tatum or tyler lautner. This is why they changed it so much and "westernized" the content. Capcom just wants something to replace the Resident Evil movie franchise.
Lol :D The new Dante is a very bad character... and his appearance has nothing to do with it.
His origin is totally cliched and lame. His attitude is that of a teenager who thinks it's cool to be a douche to everyone and everything, which can only be cool to other such teenagers. Therefore only that demographic can relate to him... and the game is rated M for Mature. By the end he still has the same douchy attitude, while trying to do things that are not douchy... which comes off really weird. He has some of the most awful dialogue ever, in any media.Yeah, I'd say his appearance is about the best thing about him xD
play pretty much any game online and you will see there are far more "douchy" sounding people out there.
thank god the trend of Japanese manga inspired characters in games is dying, im pretty happy with the reboot, the series needed to be westernized, evolve or die, didnt DMC 4 teach people anything?
Does the fact that there are douchy sounding people out there mean that I should pay money to play a game that has one of them as the main character o.O
DMC (3 in particular), had fun characters, entertaining story and challenging gameplay. And it actually showed me that behind some of the character's (silly) exterior there are deep and genuine emotions. DmC tried something similar but failed in the execution. It felt like some chaotic mess that left me cringing. I don't think the westernization did it any good nor do I think it evolved. I think it's actually a(few)step back.
But hey, don't get me wrong. I'm glad you enjoyed the game. I didn't and I'm simply stating my opinion. Don't let it spoil your fun, especially if you don't agree xD
This article is pure TRASH. This writer Ron H. is nothing but a TROLL and a HACK fishing for clicks. Site downvoted. The REAL, ORIGINAL Dante WAS one of the best characters in video games but Crapcom decided to put a shotgun to his head out back.
LOL

Called it like I called what Virgil would do.

but he can't die with gunshots
God, I reckon I'll be dead before I hear the end of this "new Dante's great/new Dante sucks" nonsense... *sighs*
