Indie Dev Looks to Kickstarter for Luna: Shattered Hearts Publishing

The independent development team at Gillis Games has recently revealed their upcoming project Luna: Shattered Hearts to the world in the hope of meeting their goals with the aid of crowd funding. Having been in development for six years Luna: Shattered Hearts is nearing completion, however Gillis Games require additional finance to pass the last few hurdles, and are hoping gamers will be the ones to assist them to find it. I respect this person is trying to do something with their work but I kind of feel like Kickstarter is getting out of hand, people are just throwing money at any projects these days.

It's hard to imagine anyone actually shelling out money to support this, it's just so mediocre. I am really not even being mean but seriously am I the only one who thinks this?

I have just seen a ton of projects on kickstarter getting funded lately and some I just say to myself "WTF people are funding this?" then there are some really awesome ideas that no one ever funds..

I mean hey if people are willing to help you support your work and dreams more power to you, it's still just weird to me but I guess there is an audience for everyone. I just don't know if catering to niche audiences is particularly the best way of selling a game.

Good luck to you regardless of my personal gaming preferences..

kickstarter seems like the worst investment, throw money into a product that you will most likely never see.
