Indeed, It's not hitman. Looks like I wont benefit from the HD collection either as I play on PC.

Ahh blood money, good memories of planning mysterious deaths and bribing people.

I never played the hitman games, and plan on getting this. Heard nothing but awesome things. I'm pretty sure my brother already had this trilogy on PS2? Man I must be confused.

Hopefully I really like them. I'm very open to playing a stealth game.

Yup, there was a trilogy available for the PS2. I even bought it myself. Well, if you liked games like Dishonored which had options to go all out stealth or rage out and kill everything, you're gonna love the hitman series :D Enjoy buddy!

So i'm gathering that, as a true Hitman fan, I won't love absolution? Havent picked it up yet, as I'm still backlogged from all the games that dropped between Sept-Nov.. Had my eye on this one though, really love hitman but it's got mostly lukewarm reviews

Dude.. All the die hard fans of Hitman loved Absoultion it's an amazing game..
Don't listen to all those whiny kids that try to act like they've played the previous games, or to reviewers that put false points to make you not buy the game.
Get it and trust me you won't regret it

Yea i don't get the hate for Absolution, feels like Hitman to me.

Absolution its a great game but very linear and scripted in parts not to mention disguise system is just plain dumb.

It leaves a lot of room for improvement.

The disguise system is what let Absolution down, whats the point in wearing a disguise if you cant use it, as soon as they spot you, there on you

Im a "diehard" Hitman fan, and Absolution was by far the worst in the series, just my opinion though

I also class myself as a true hitman fan and i enjoyed it.

My best advice is put it on the hardest setting from the get go, As this removes any assists and its the most like the previous games.

purist mode is not recommended for a 1st go mostly because the sections where you have to evade the cops in the library and the subway section are annoying as he11.

Yeah, that's the point. Its stealth its meant to be hard.

Same here. I am a diehard Hitman fan having completed Blood Money over 16 times, with atleast 4 playthroughs on each difficulty but Absoloution has yet to really wow me. Also the Bloom really does not help. I may pick it up when it's around £10

So you haven't actually played it then, but you've come to the conclusion that it hasn't wowed you?

Apparently I'm one of the few here who was very disappointed with Absolution.

A lot of the levels were completely linear, those that weren't were still smaller and strewn with obvious "ASSASSINATE THE GUY HERE" opportunities, and the new disguise mechanic was problematic to say the least. I liked some of the changes, like the cover system and revamped controls, but as a whole the game just seemed confused, like it didn't know if it wanted to be Hitman, Splinter Cell, or an all-out Action game.

Don't let me stop you from playing it, though. You'll only really find out if you like it by playing it yourself.

my god i wish i didn't already own this and have had played them countless times over.

i pretty much don't rebuy games from the ps2 era, but im really tempted with these because of how open ended they are. such fantastic games. i didn't even buy the god of war or metal gear solid remakes, but these are definitely tempting. if i finish my backlog i might pick them up.

Can't wait to play through all three one by one.I hope the controls for Silent Assassin and Contracts have been updated.Anyway,I pre-ordered it as soon as I finished Absolution. So far,I've loved each and every one of the HItman games.
