The Best Port Of 2012: 'The Witcher 2' On Xbox 360

Forbes - As much as I loved finally being able to play Dark Souls on PC, the port itself was a disaster. From Software’s inexperience with PC led to a game with no graphical improvements and only the barest-bone keyboard and mouse support left many feeling let down with the title. (PC, The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings, Xbox 360)

Idk it would prob be between TW2 on 360, DkS going to PC, or P4 going to Vita. All 3 are huge deals for their systems. I'm balls deep in the TW2 and P4 right now although Devil Survivor Overclocked stole me away momentarily. Ni No Kuni and Fire Emblem are on deck for the next few weeks.

Persona 4 Golden definitely... It adds not only HD visuals, but so much content to the game. Not to mention the lower price point than regular console games, as well as the bonus things (like music players, cutscene players, commercials of all the Persona games, live performances, etc.)

No doubt in my mind that's the best port of 2012.

The Witcher 2 is the best port of 2012 hands down.he game was much harder to port so cudos to their developers who did an astonishing job bringing this Skyrim crasher to the Xbox 360.Now Persona 4 is an astonishing game but not in any way that hard to port to a superior system.

Soooo, this is about difficulty, not content? Lol, in that case alright, I get the disagrees. :]

I don't get The Witcher, call me a simpleton but I've never been able to get my head around the upgrades and combat/potion system in either game, it has to be said though that the 360 port looked excellent given the limitations of the machine.

You simpleton, I loved this game on PC and Xbox.

Unfortunately your correct there probably won't be a ps3 launch for it. Which is a shame.

scuse me... Alan Wake on PC.

THATS how to do a port too.

Alan Wake is one of my favourite games of all time, but I heard the PC ports higher resolution just makes the bad textures (inside houses etc) stand out.

The Witcher 2 was amazing, as they did not charge full price, which is great. It is also one of the best looking games on console IMO, maybe in the top ten. Such as shame that it took a PC port to show the 360 devs how it is done. Amazing game, still wishing for The Witcher 1 on 360/PS3, as was originally planned.. sadly, there is a fat chance of that happening.

alan wake on pc was an awesome port minus the low res cut scenes.

Absolutely not, the game is a visual mess. Heck even the hair of the characters get clipped inside their faces.
