I think this is the second day, something Tales of Graces F didn't do (Not knocking, just comparing to another PS3 exclusive JRPG). So, I hope this means it will get better first week sales and stay at No.1 until release and maybe keep it until the next big PS3/360/Wii U game comes (I know wishful thinking).

Ezz20131288d ago (Edited 1288d ago )

why you say "wishful thinking" ?!

have some faith my friend

blitz06231288d ago

Good to know it's getting some recognition. Would be a shame to miss a game like this, especially given the trend the JRPGs have taken this generation. Hopefully this game followed by Versus XIII can energize the JRPG genre

Minato-Namikaze1288d ago

@godchild1020 Tales f grace wasnt a Ps3 exclusive, it was a port of the wii game

Snookies121288d ago (Edited 1288d ago )

@Minato-Namikaze - Actually to be fair, Tales of Graces "f" was indeed exclusive to PS3. It had extra stuff in there, "I believe the future arc hence the "f" if I'm not mistaken."

Regardless, that game is fantastic, people should really give it a go if they haven't. It's a bit slow to get things going story-wise, but I've already got 90+ hours in it. VERY rare that I get that involved in a game.

My mistake then, but i was thinking about getting grace, but until then ni no kuni day 1

Snookies121288d ago

Nah it's cool, I get what you meant that the original was indeed for the Wii. Regardless, I'm happy it was brought over to the US. As I'm quite happy about Ni No Kuni being brought over as well. :]

Oh_Yeah1288d ago (Edited 1288d ago )

It's the closest thing to a pokemon game on consoles, I expected good numbers from a kickass game like this. Nintendo is slacking on making one so Sony capitalized.

Snookies121288d ago

Seems more akin to Persona in my opinion. Although I haven't played the full game yet.

ozzywazzy1288d ago

This is fantastic news! This game deserves all the hype it's been getting. So glad I was able to pick up the wizard's edition! That's one limited edition worth buying.

BanBrother1288d ago

And you can bet your bottom dollar it will be worth something down the line. Either way, standard or limited you are buying a special experience.

This game has some of the best graphics I have seen, ever. I know, it may not have all that technical crap, but its beauty is a site to behold. Absolutley breathtaking scenery. I have only been wowed by the aesthetics of a game less than a handful of times this gen. Can't wait to pick it up. As I can't imagine how much better it is going to look on my new TV I got a few days ago!!! Long live the JRPG!

papajag1288d ago

Glad I got this too. It's like Demons Souls all over again.

Treian1288d ago

glad I pre-ordered before it runs out!

-MD-1288d ago

No game has ever sold out at launch. Even if you didn't preorder you'll still be able to find copies.

Godmars2901288d ago

1 - Strong sales for this game.

2 - JRPG dev community realize they can make "traditional: titles on HD systems.

3 - PROFIT!!!

4 - GAMERS HAVE FUN!!!

(There. Better than underwear gnome logic ;p )

Ranma11288d ago

It is Square Enix which promoted the idea that no one wants traditional jrpgs and that turn based ones are out dated...

funny now that they make some of the worst jrpg's in the indsutry after they followed that belief through

NeXXXuS1288d ago

I want more turn based... >:\

Outside_ofthe_Box1288d ago (Edited 1288d ago )

The only thing that I think is out dated is having battles take place on a separate screen. All battles should happen real time in this day and age in my opinion. You can still have Ni no Kuni's type of battle system happening real time in a similar way FF12 battle system was done. I think this is the way JRPGs should go.

What I like most about Ni No Kuni is the over world that JRPG devs felt was dated when HD consoles launched. If Ni No Kuni is successful we should be seeing over worlds making a comeback on consoles. :D

HarvesterOSarow1288d ago

I hope this game sells incredibly well.
