Is Guns & Souls The Next Game From Square Enix Japan?

Siliconera discovered Square Enix registered a trademark for Guns & Souls in Europe. While this sounds like something from the Eidos side, it’s actually from Square Enix Japan. Perhaps, the Japan team is developing some kind of shooter? They tried that with Mindjack, Gun Loco (which was canceled), and Catacombs (which AQ Interactive was developing).

I liked playing Mindjack; It was a great concept, but it was poorly executed. Maybe their next shooter will do better overall.
