Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate gets a release date, voice chat, demo and more

Capcom writes:

"We’ve got some exciting news on the Monster Hunter front today. First off, you can now put in your calendars that Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate comes out on March 19 in North America and on March 22 in Europe! Also, the game will be coming out as a Digital Download to the 3DS and Wii U around the same timeframe; and to make the wait a little easier to handle, there’s a demo coming digitally to both platforms on February 21. There’s an awesome new trailer and more info after the jump!" (3DS, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Wii U)

Voice chat?
Now I can tell all of the crappy hunters I see to GTFO! XD
Perjoss  +   803d ago
how about you give them a few tips on how to become better hunters instead?
ZoidsRaven  +   803d ago
@Perjoss: You clearly don't know what I meant by 'crappy hunters'.
What >YOU< are talking about is average skilled hunters (who can still be beginners), hunters who have room for improvement. Crappy hunter >CAN'T LEARN ****<!

When you are on a Jhen Mohran quest and you tell someone to not use the 'Dragonator' and explain why they shouldn't and they still use it as well as the net. No one is obligated to teach theme a d*mn thing.

When you are on a Alatreon quest and someone faints, you go back to camp and give them 'Nutrients' (sometimes when you faint your maximum health lowers, nutrients helps increase max health), explain what it does and they still refuse it and continue to faint. No one is obligated to teach theme a d*mn thing.

You are talking about hunters who are willing to learn, I was not. The good for nothing (and crappy) hunters I am referring to are not willing to learn from their mistakes and will surely make more (please note that this doesn't only apply to beginners).

NOTE: Hunters that faint are NOT what I'm talking about.

@below: This doesn't just apply to newcomers.
NOTE: My post shouldn't be taken seriously. 7_7

I figure you are just joking, but I agree with Perjoss. Let's keep the Monster Hunter franchise friendly and welcoming. The downright beating newcomers take from the monsters is bad enough :P

This looks like it might be a decent game. I might check it out.
belac09  +   803d ago

1upgamer99  +   803d ago
Honestly I have never played Monster Hunter. So I am interested that is good.

If you have a Wii you might want to consider picking up Monster Hunter 3 before Ultimate comes out. Its a great game and it might give you a good idea of what this Monster Hunter is bringing to the table.
1upgamer99  +   794d ago
I have Wii U, and a Wii, I think I will pick this up. Thank you. :)
Munnkyman  +   803d ago
I hope there is coop on the same console. Or it looks I might have to buy another wii u for the wife
Gregard  +   803d ago
Sorry dude, there is no coop on the same console unfortunately :(

But, you can play offline coop using a Wii U and a 3DS ! You can also transfer your saves around between your Wii U and 3DS. Aaand you can also play online coop using your Wii U as well.

Damn well maybe I'll get a 3ds with monster hunter. Thanx
George Sears  +   803d ago
I've put thousands of hours on this franchise. I hope there is a bundle coming out for the Wii U. If there is, I'll get it for sure.
PygmelionHunter  +   803d ago
Cool box art, yet, something about it doesn't look right. Maybe it's the fact that hunters and monsters are usually fighting on the cover except for this one.

Now the question is, will this support the Wiimote and the classic controller?
Steelmanner  +   794d ago
Yes, the WiiU supports all controllers from the Wii, so you can fight these new monster using the Wii controller and nunchuk combo if you so choose.

Why do Europe get it later AGAIN?!
Summons75  +   803d ago
Excellent!!! March is a great time because I should finally be done with ni no kuni, dead space, and metal gear rising. Nice they're adding a demo, I've played monster hunter since the ps2 days so its been a day one but anyway but it'll be nice something with the wait.

It's already Ultimate... so it's going to be double ultimate? :P haha! Well, tbh I doubt there will be an other revision after this one, since monster hunter 4 is already announced!
ahronith  +   803d ago

Steelmanner  +   794d ago
