I don't mind waiting, it'll be something great to play in August.

Smart move by Ubisoft. With so many games being released between January and June, Splinter Cell: Blacklist wasn't getting any hype or attention. Might as well delay it and release it during the "light in game releases" month of August, probably just before the new consoles.

I have a felling that more games are going to be delayed to August or September.

Some websites have MGS Ground Zeroes coming out in September. So I'd rather save my money for that. Plus we should know if that release date is true by August anyway.

I used to like Splinter Cell, but the new one looks like some hyper active mess, a far cry from the careful, calculating stealth of the series's past. Just because it has the same publisher as the past games, doesn't mean it has the same developers.

Keep that in mind as you watch preview vids for this new game's style of play.

I guess it doesn't matter too much so long as its out before next-gen hardware in the fall. Hopefully this means there are actually great games to play this Summer.

My Birthday :) Although I might pass and just wait for next gen hardware and not get this :/ depends on backwards compatibility really...

I can guess why it is delayed

I can't think of a single other release in August, smart move.

Yeah but it's almost the final week of August. The next week is gonna be stiff competition in September/Fall releases.
