iPhone And iPad Games That Belong On Wii U

Chris Buffa (Modojo): Nintendo's Wii U has been available for almost two months in the U.S., and players can already download a variety of impressive games, like Little Inferno and Trine 2: Director's Cut. Of course, there's always room for more, and considering the GamePad's touchscreen, we have quite a few iOS titles that would make a great fit. With this in mind, here are a handful we'd like to see. (Angry Birds Star Wars, Hundreds, iPad, iPhone, Joe Danger Touch, Wii U)

It definitely feels like the WiiU is a great platform to share iOS games with. Nice list. ^^

^Not sure if that's a compliment.

I wouldn't really want OS games personally. I would like more of the small games that find their way onto platforms like Steam. The next Super Meat Boy, or perhaps Minecraft. Games like that is what I would like to see on the Wii U as oppose to the likes of Angry Birds.

Can't it have both?

Of course it can. I'm just saying I wouldn't really want any OS games. Just my two cents, that's all.

It depends. Quite often even excellent games on mobile platforms are let down by the touchscreen-only interface. I've played countless games on Android that look and play great but are marred by terrible controls so I'd happily grab them for the Wii U instead.

Considering the Unity Engine is used in countless iOS and Android games, I think ports of some of the bigger games to Wii U is inevitable... Which is presumably why Nintendo licensed the Unity Engine in the first place.

I half expect to see several of these on the eShop within the next 12 months: http://unity3d.com/gallery/...
