What publishers should buy THQ's properties?

GamesRadar - THQ officially announced its bankruptcy and is going to be auctioning off its properties in late January. This means that the futures of its game series, like Darksiders, Company of Heroes, and Saints Row, are all up in the air. Some may never see the light of day again, but this is also the chance for these licenses to get a fresh start with a new publisher.

No,i dislike Saints Row but the franchise should remain Multi-platform.I'd rather all THQ software be bought up by 3rd party publishers..It's only right since fans of those franchises are spread across different platforms.

I'd rather see ND make a open world game with Jak 4 since the second and third game were already like that.

However I do think Sony should buy Saints Row and reboot it. They could, if they worked hard, make their own "GTA" type franchise.

MS should buy them so to keep the good games multi-plat as a Publisher while pulling in the cash.

Square Enix already have Sleeping Dogs. They don't need to make another open world crime game like Saint's Row. We have too many of those already this gen. I'd prefer them to put more money into Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Kingdom Hearts 3 rather than that.

Edit: Oh crap i didnt realise they were making the South Park: Stick of Truth & Metro Last light im looking forward to both of these.

Also I liked Space Marines & Red Faction dammit!

since the Wii u don't have a strong 3rd party support Nintendo should buy thq having games like saint row as a exclusive would be big for them

That would be good for Nintendo, but we would have another Bayonetta 2 case all over again. I prefer that THQ franchises remain multiplat.

I like how Activision is playing quite about things. To me that just means when they buy a bunch of it they can break headlines by "surprise publisher buys so and so!" Ugh....

Really don't want to see any of the titles go to EA or Activision. I want good games, not yearly releases.

Umm... Darksiders is the one that's bothering me... I don't even know who can get the best of the IP.

Platinum could do a great Darksiders from the combat perspective. Not so sure they could polish out the story though. Sony Santa Monica, Capcom in years passed but I don't see it now..... There's definitely quite a few companies and teams who could do Darksiders. The question is whether or not they can hammer out the story. Though I've been smoking more cigars lately than gaming so I've yet to see where the latest, in Deaths footsteps take us. Personally it's the only game of the bunch I give 2 craps about so I'm hoping it finds a good home. Like Legacy of Kain it would be a dam shame to see Darksiders disappear...
