Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4: Predicting the Announcements

IGN - Sony and Microsoft could be planning to announce new consoles at separate events, away from E3. Why would they do that? (Industry)

Lets go. Might be on board for both if Xbox720 isnt kinect centric

Announcing before E3 does not mean it won't show at E3.
Sony have to share E3 with Vita so it makes sense for them to do a pre-announcement to get out more details in their allocated time.

I don't know but this yr seems like its better for them to do it before E3. Those waiting til E3 gotta share the event with other consoles that are gonna be there steambox, ouya and others things gaming not yet announced. Plus they did it before and it worked out for them. Show them early and use E3 to show off next gen games and what the new consoles can do with new tech. Honestly I just want which ever comes out 1st.

I seriously don't think it's happening this year
