Five Tell-Tale Signs You’ve Been Playing Certain Games Too Long

Ever played a game so much that its core mechanics and features start to make their way into your everyday mindset? As someone who knows all about the bizarre hilarity of bringing video game fantasy into humdrum reality, Mark Butler looks at five instances where falling in love with famous games can result in some truly odd behaviour. (Assassin's Creed, Culture, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

The best example that comes to mind for me is when I was playing Zelda and Zelda a link to the past. Every time I would see a small crack on something in real life my first instinct was to bomb it.

And that reminds me of a PSA I need to deliver. Never play several hours of Burnout Crash Mode and then go out in the real world and drive.

He missed Dark Souls!

Signs I've played Dark Souls too much:

I have a character with over 100 hours of game time and I have other characters that are getting close.

I can't create any more characters because I hit the limit of characters per account!

I give away my black knight weapons because my character will be level 1 permanently so I can't use them.

My level 1 character farms black knights just before the end boss ... for fun ... and for black knight weapons to give away to other players!

I heard about summon trolling and thought it was funny. Summon trolling is beating the game several times at low level to get into a high ng+, dressing like a starter character, then summoning people to "help".

every abandon house I see in real life is a potential for good Loot as i cautiously peek through the windows looking for Zombies!

Planetside 2: I called a customer A Vanu Scumbag.....then they ask to speak with my supervisor and I replied NC 4 Life and hung up on them!
