Josh Talks: Depression and Gaming

Depression has been in the news a lot lately. It would seem that depression is something a lot of people deal with. I like to think that we live in a world where it’s taken as seriously as any other disease. Unfortunately this is 2012 and for some reason people are still singled out for simply looking or acting different from the “norm”, even when the “norm” just happens to be geek chic. I won’t go into great detail about how depression and other mental illnesses should be taken seriously because that’s not why we’re here, not to mention it should go without saying. I just want to simply share some of my thoughts with you, to talk about how its relevant and perceived to be relevant to gaming and its culture. (Culture, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim)
