Will We Ever See Darksiders 3 and 4?

OnlySP writes: "Last year played host to the release of the second installment in the Darksiders series, Darksiders II. While some criticized the repetitive nature of the game, as well as the seemingly aged graphics, Darksiders II received generally favorable reviews. With THQ now filing for bankruptcy, one can only wonder what chance the series has of being claimed by a new publisher, and if so, the likelihood it will continue as expected." (Darksiders 2, PC, PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360)

I hope we do, that's why I hope who ever gets this IP continues the franchise and not stray to far from what made Darksiders great.

Agreed. I'd like to see the series continue as I feel it has plenty of room to grow. Darksiders II was one of my favorite games from last year, and I'd hate to see if simply vanish.

I think they would do an amazing job as well, but I think Darksiders should stay Multi Platform, the PlayStation already has God of War. And I would really like to see SSM make a sequel or something to Heavenly Sword.

Hope so. Cause from what we saw in the ending, epic stuff is going down in the next one.

If a studio buys the IP they are almost certainly going to use it, it wouldn't make sense to buy an IP only to put it on the shelf.

Let the Horseman ride!

I'm in for 3 and 4!

I hope so. I'd hate to see a great new IP like Darksiders left on the shelf. :(

Why ?

Run through a 25 hour game doing the same 3 moves over and over again. Lets jump Spin attack for the 4,000th time...!

That can be said about literally every action-oriented game, RPGs included. Every game has at least one move or combo that, by player's choice, can be overused; it isn't like Darksiders 1 or 2 had only a one possible combo.

This is an IP that wouldn't make sense not to make more sequels for...

Definitely worth it!

i really hope so i really want to play as fury next , because besides death she looked the most interesting, and vigil described her as a spell caster, sp for gameplay she could summon monsters like ellen and keats in folklore, and weapons would be her whip, the gauntlet on her hand, and a fiery bow and arrow, she would also have a lot of life draining abilities.

I'm willing to pay for a Kickstarter just so they can finish the story with Darksiders 3 or 4.

Still two horsemen's stories to tell. I say let them ride.
