Will 2013 Begin the Age of PC Gaming?

With all the talk of next generation consoles and what future games are going to look and play like, I have come to one single conclusion: 2013 may very well be the year of PC gaming. But why would I think that? Why do I think that PC gaming might become more prevalent over gaming on consoles and mobile? (PC, Tag Invalid)

PC gaming has been going strong since the early 80s. That's why so many PC gamers stick with PC gaming. It never dies. It never fades. Yeah, you'll have a few slow years. Yeah, you'll have a run of really bad console-to-PC ports. But in the long run, PC game just keeps on chugging along.

And for the record, "mobile" gaming is essentially mobile PC gaming. All those apps are the same sort of games that people were playing in their browser on PC.
