DmC: Devil May Cry Xbox 360 Review - Sex, Drugs, and a New Hero | Neoseeker

Neoseeker writes: DmC is by no means perfect, but Ninja Theory certainly accomplished what they set out to do; they made a great action game. As a fan of the original Dante, I’m still not sure that this reboot was completely necessary for the series, but DmC is undeniably fun, in large part perhaps due to the developers’ faithfulness to the original games. Appearances aside, the game still feels quintessentially Devil May Cry. Everything else is basically icing on the cake.

Story is the biggest issue, where DmC stumbles the most. Still, despite my griping, I found myself easily forgetting about its flaws while caught up in the moment – the experience of something all at once familiar and new.

Hmm, I'm quite nervous about this game. I've checked metacritic, and most of the review sites are giving it great scores; which is good. However, a lot of user reviews are complaining about it; which is bad. So I'll have to rent this one and then make my decision.

When has the user section ever mattered? Most of the time they rant about merely 1 thing.

Take the mass effect 3 ending. EVERYBODY complained about it; hardly any of them talked about how the rest of the game was, and those that did still gave a extremely low score.

i.e. "Great game, had me hooked till the end, but the ending was really bad" - 1/10

user reviews are just butt hurt fangirls that are mad that the game turned out good when they were praying it would bomb.

Disregard the user reviews, because i'll wager most of them are multiple accounts from losers who want to put the game down.

Here's a hint: The reviewers have copies days ago for reviewing purposes, while the metacritic users are still waiting for the game, since it launched today.

Because obviously having it a few days earlier makes it seem so much better. SMH.

@MattyG

Because playing the game makes the opinion a valid one.

There are no drugs in this game unless you count booze as "drugs".

Alcohol is technically a drug.

You're going to jail.

Most fair sounding review of the game so far, Number Rating is not the important part but the written content and all the other reviews I have read so far just sound like "Ha we can prove haters wrong, so we praise it all" this writer mentioned pros and cons and didnt sound bias at all which I commend, not many journalists like this these days.
