Resident Evil: 5 Ways Capcom Can Save Their Zombie Franchise

WC: With Resident Evil 6 being released last year to somewhat bad reviews, it left me thinking- how has this once great, genre defining game fallen so far from grace? The latest offerings have left many fans feeling frustrated at the drastic direction the game has went in recent years. Resident Evil 6 had some great ideas though some were poorly executed. I just recently bought RE4 from PSN and played it through. I gotta say that even RE4 is way different in atmosphere than the older REs. RE4 has the suspense but a zombie survival it is not. Not in the same sense as the older REs.

I don't know. I don't feel like hating on Capcom over the change in the franchise as much after replaying RE4. RE4 maybe starts out like a zombie game but in the end it is pure action. There are flashes of the usual RE suspense in the end with those regeneration-type enemies. The music is creepy once they see you and start coming towards you. I liked that :)

I'm not sure why I'm writing this but I just felt like I needed to get this off my chest.

Maybe some of the haters would see the change more natural after replaying RE4. Happened to me anyway.

if i were Capcom i'll ask either Mikami or Kamiya to lead the development...everything will be fixed automatically
