Borderlands 2: Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt Review-IGN

Make no mistake, Big Game Hunt is still Borderlands 2. Combat is still satisfying, as is finding that next gear upgrade. Anyone who found the core gameplay enjoyable before will most likely find it enjoyable here, and a new raid boss offers completionists yet another feather to put in their cap. But in terms of story, dialogue, and encounter design, this add-on pales in comparison to the rest of Borderlands 2. It's like the worst episode of a show you love -- it isn't quite bad, but knowing how good it can be makes it hard to get excited over.

PS: Increase the level cap already! (Borderlands 2 Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 6.9/10

No level increase is disgraceful

i kinda expected it no level increase for the 1 season pass so everyone will get the 2 -.-

Yeah, it seems that's the way we're heading. Too bad though although it does kind of force you to play other characters, the game is missing something when you're not leveling up imo.

You guys need to pay more attention to Gearbox. There's a huge game changing add on coming in mid spring that they teased in December. They've been outsourcing all of the DLC packs (except for the mechromancer) which is why they haven't added a level cap. Doing so requires changes to original code in a patch. If you thought a level cap was coming in this DLC, then your not a true fan.

Yeah, a "true fan." Someone who follows articles related to the games they really like and are educated on the game and topics about it before commenting.

The amount of DLC this game has received in such a short time is ridiculous but just because it's by Gearbox it gets a free pass, if this was EA or Activision people would be raging.
Anyway I'm glad I held off from buying this and will just get the game of the edition.

I guess this is what happens when you release full add-ons so soon. They end up rushed. Whatever developer Gearbox outsourced this DLC to needs more time. Scarlett was poor and Torgue was just decent. It sounds like this will be more like Scarlett, though thankfully with a few new enemies that are more than reskins.

I'll still give it a try. Hoping for the best.

They also added a bunch of new weapons. A few of which are upgraded versions of guns from the original Borderlands (like a certain assault rifle that has a 150 clip and fire rate of 25!)

Borderlands 2 is a fantastic game and Gearbox is one of my favourite devs this gen but honestly, so many of these dlcs in this short time isn't necessary. I'd rather they just took their time and created one large expansion once in a while than these little dlcs with nothing but a new boss and new loot added.
