“Tales of” Fans Campaign For Tales of Vesperia PS3 Port and Tales of Hearts R Vita Localization

PS Euphoria writes: Previously, the “Tales of” community spotted a note from Sony which included Tales of Vesperia on their PlayStation Plus related survey and now they are campaigning for the games to be localized in a similar way to how Operation Rainfall was conducted, which ended up with the localization of The Last Story and Xenoblade Chronicles on the Nintendo Wii. This group for “Tales of” fans, however, is called Mission Atelier and throughout the past few hours, they have hit up Namco Bandai’s Facebook page with comments and posts. (PS Vita, PS3, Tales of Hearts R, Tales of Vesperia)

I already played ToV on my X360. suckers !!!

Its a great game. I just wish it didnt give me the option to switch to easy when I want, because its tempting to do so and sometimes takes away from the experience.

I did too! But I will always double dip when it comes to a Tales of game. Especially when it comes down to seeing more localizations of the games.

ToV is my personal favorite

ToGraces is the best in handling difficulty, it incites you to play on hard by giving you more exp and loot, i kept doing this till I unlocked the max setting, and it is not hard if you get the groove of the combat, Ii only set it back to hard for some boss battles.

The Japanese PS3 version was pretty good, it had more things in it. I'd love to play this game in English.

The extra stuff should've came to the Xbox 360 as DLC.

Havent we been very vocal about Vesperia PS3 already?! XD
chrispseuphoria  +   130d ago
As long as we're still vocal, Namco-Bandai will know that there's a recurring interest in the game.

Didn't know this was an Xbox 360 exclusive.

Edit: never mind, there is a Japanese version of the game on PS3, my mistake.

Fcking M$ ruin the JRPG scene at PlayStation this generation with their dirty money.. & for what? to buy exclusivity no1 or almost no1 care about, what's the point to release this game on a console when 90%+ of the ppl who own the console play mostly shooters & don't give a fck about JRPGs, such a shame for JRPG fans who own a PS3 & cant play it.
Hanso  +   130d ago
i feel the same
AznGaara  +   130d ago
It's okay we still got exclusives like Valkyira Chronicles, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Disgaea 3 & 4 and Demons Souls. With Ni no Kuni, Disgaea D2, The Witch and the Hundred Knights and Xilia we still have some good jrpgs for 2013.

Oh and Versus 13 is still a Ps3 exclusive... Unless MS uses that "dirty money" to make that multiplatform too.
Inception  +   130d ago
Relax cloud. Just like AznGaara said, PS3 gamers still had ton's of JRPG exclusives to play ^^

@AznGaara
Don't forget Atelier Ayesha, The God and Fate Revolution Paradox (also from Disgaea team), Legend of Heroes: Nayuta no Kiseki, Dragon's Crown, and more.

I think Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon would of done a lot better if they were originally on the PS3.
Would love to have ports of them as I hate playing them on my Xbox because its too noisy and I have to turn my TV up pretty loud (not even joking).
FarEastOrient  +   130d ago
We're still waiting for The Last Remnant to come to the PS3 in Japan. Pretty much hopeless by now
DarkZane  +   130d ago
People should give up about Tales of Vesperia on PS3. It's not coming here. It's been released 3 years ago and they clearly said a few times that they won,t bring it over.
Godchild1020  +   130d ago
Things change. We got Tales of Graces F and that came out on the Wii in 2009 and the PS3 in 2010 in Japan. And Xillia was released in 2011 and we are seeing that some time this year.
Darth Stewie  +   130d ago
Microsoft claimed the only way to get the complete Mass Effect experience on consoles would only be on the 360 but yet 5yrs later ME1 came to the PS3. So you never know. Besides unlike ME1 Tales of Vesperia is an already complete PS3 game that just needs localization.
Chrono  +   130d ago
I'd love a localization of Tales of Hearts.

I hope this works out well, I'd like to try a Tales game on vita :D

i really need to check out the tales series one of these day's
Hanso  +   130d ago
Tales of Graces F was my first TALES and i love it :D
i even bought a 3dsxl just for Abyss a few weeks ago and playing it now
Inception  +   130d ago
@animegamingnerd

You should. And first, maybe you can play Tales of Phantasia on SNES emu. Just to give you a bit of view of Tales series.

@Hanso
Good choices bro, because Graces f battle system is the most fun in Tales series. And i think you should check Tales of Phantasia, Tales of Destiny, Tales of Eternia, and Tales of Symphony.
phantomexe  +   130d ago
There preety good as far as story goes but be prepared for over the top japanese toon talk. It's hard to take sometimes but really it's all about the story. SE could learn a few things from tales of graces f in the combat department IMO.
AznGaara  +   130d ago
Honestly why can't Namco do what they did with One Piece: Pirate Warriors and just translate the text? Sure a JRPG would have more lines but I doubt that would matter to the audience who's going to buy this game. I wouldn't care playing it with Japanese voices and English subs.
Darth Stewie  +   130d ago
and if Namco want to save even more money they could make it a digital only release like they did with One Piece in the US.
Darth Stewie  +   130d ago
I hope Tales of Vesperia PS3 get localized since they have a lot of fans on PlayStation anyway and the game has been finished for several years already. They could even release it with Eng Subs & digital only like One Piece Pirate Warriors. This saves Namco $$$ and brings the fans the content. Namco should do this for both the PS3 Tales game and PSV Tales game.

Sony should co-publish Tales of Hearts R to help better the Vita.

Speaking of localization what happened to the FF PSP game that was supposed to be localized too.
