Borderlands 2 experiencing issues with Sir Hammerlock’s DLC compatibility pack on Xbox 360

Preparing for the release of the third campaign DLC for “Borderlands 2,” Gearbox Software announced today that a new compatibility pack is now available to download on the Xbox 360 for tomorrow’s DLC add-on, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt. A compatibility pack has been released alongside every “Borderlands 2” add-on thus far. The purpose of the packs are to allow gamers to continue to play online with others regardless of whether everyone in the party has purchased specific DLC or not.

However, shortly after the compatibility pack became available for download on Xbox 360, Gearbox Software tweeted that they were aware of issues players were experiencing with the download and stated, “We're looking into the errors some are encountering while downloading the Compatibility Pack on Xbox 360. Details as we have them.” (Borderlands 2, Xbox 360)

I've mentioned before, I find it odd that Bethesda's Skyrim problems on the PS3 are so widely reported despite the worst of them being patched within weeks of Skyrim's release, yet the multitude of Borderlands 2 issues on the 360 have been ignored. Yet we're led to believe over and over by posters that Skyrim is unplayable and Bethesda is the devil when it was only a small minority of players that were ever impacted even before the patch.

Meanwhile, Borderlands 2 players on the 360 have had to suffer hackers and freezing issues that get worse the further into the game you go, and the problems persisted months after launch, yet you never see the type of criticisms from the game media and fans that we still see regarding Skryim.

I just think it's interesting how one game will get a free pass from the media and fans and another will be beaten to death. Both games are incredible, by the way.

If there is still level cap, useless to play with the same character

in borderlands 1, when they raised the lvl cap...the experience you got during the time between lvl 50 and the raise all carried over...if its the same in here, then its worth it

You mean that when there is a new level cap, what you already did is automatically updated (like going into lvl 56 in one shot when it is updated) ?
I did not do that at that time, that is why I am asking. Thanks!
