DMC Devil May Cry Review | GamesWeasel

GamesWeasel writes:

"Most of what we’ve heard about this reboot of Devil May Cry is people moaning about Dante’s hair not being white. In fact, there’s even a little joke about his new barnet during the first level of the game but fear not, finish the game and you’ll be able to play through the levels again with a new shade of short haircut that might appease you." (DmC: Devil May Cry, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 9/10

Invalidated review based on that alone.

Lol you're worst than the westboro baptist church.

Say what you want, but when a review begins with mocking people who have legitimate concerns, no one should take what the reviewer says seriously as it's a clear indication of a tainted review.

I'm personally glad the reviews seem to be overwhelmingly positive. But I wonder how this will translate into sales for the game?

@Dragon

His hair color is a legit concern?
DragonKnight  +   460d ago
@jolly and the other obvious trolls who will post the same "his hair color is a legit concern?" type responses: Again, just because you chose to ignore the legitimate concerns that have been posted across the internet ad infinitum that are well beyond Donte's hair is not my, nor anyone who dislikes this game for legitimate reason's problem. Now I know you want to pat yourself on the back for making troll comments, and if that's the highlight of your day then hey, good for you for achieving such a sad goal, but you honestly only do yourselves a disservice but making those posts.

Hair color of a fictional character = legitimate concerns.

Sick sad little world...

Your lack of ability to do research would be disturbing, but given the fact that the idiocy of your response has been echoed through the voices of so many who are either legally blind, illiterate, or suffer from some form of diminished mental capacity and are incapable of seeing the litany of lists people have created with the legitimate concerns levied against this game, I am not surprised by your response at all.

@mamotte
Was telling myself the same thing lol :D

Just shut the f*** up @DragonKnight and stop trying to sound smarter than you actually are..
"given the fact that the idiocy of your response has been echoed through the voices of so many who are either legally blind, illiterate, or suffer from some form of diminished mental capacity and are incapable of seeing the litany of lists people have created with the legitimate concerns levied against this game"

And they are? Let me guess..
1. It's not a cheesy ass Jap game anymore.
2. His hair is not the way I'd like it to be (says the queer eye for the straight guy).
3. They actually evolved and redefined the gameplay mechanics for the better and made them cutting edge and fluid. I prefer shitty old school rigid arcadey gameplay.

Effing pretentious gamers. Can't stand them

Sorry.

My answer was as elaborated as your "concerns"

I haven't really took much interest in this as I've never been a huge fan of the series, but having watched this video due to all the bitching and whining I've been reading today I think it looks pretty bloody good. Might have to buy it now.

I guess I was right. It was gonna turn out better than RE6 despite the sales.

I kinda expected these reviews cause the media loved Enslaved even though the people did not. Also i know i may get disagrees for this but i feel that the industry is getting too soft. Meaning that accessibility is more important now than evolving the gameplay. Lower standards are more the norm for games which i do not believe is the right direction we should be headed in games.

The game may be good it may not be but my biggest fear with this game was the dialogue & story. Adam Sessler hit it on the head saying that the games dialogue is juvenile at best. The past Devil May Cry games had cheesy dialogue cause it was not trying to be serious, while from everything that i have heard from DmC is that it is trying too hard to be serious resulting in horrible writing.

It's just like with George Lucas trying to be serious with the Star Wars prequels but ending up making a mockery of them with bad writing.
