6 Changes Mario Kart Needs To Make To Stay Relevant

WC - Mario Kart is one of the best multiplayer franchises ever created, which is what makes its recent dip in form so sad. In fact, it’s fair to say that the series peaked in the 90s, and since then has struggled to regain the quality promised by those first two titles (for the SNES and N64). For too long, Nintendo have been content to add only some new maps, throw a few more characters into the mix, introduce one negligible feature and call it a sequel. (Culture, Mario Kart)

Not sure
If this guys aware but MK Wii sold damn near 35m units. "Peaked in the 90's"? Really dude?

Don't care for a story mode at all. This is a racing game. I do agree with the fewer characters, but my most important improvement has to be the battlemode. The SNES battlemode was the best, and these new MK games' battlemode is attrocious. They need to stop with the 'eveyone's a winner' type and go back to the cut throat type battlemode. They do that, and make the racing feel less floaty, no more bikes, no more rubberband AI, and they have themselves a winner.
