The last we heard of Visceral Games’ new IP, all we knew was that it was apparently “heavily backed by EA leadership” and that it was a “thrilling online action shooter game”.

(Next-Gen, PS3, Visceral games, Xbox 360)
I really hope it's a brand new IP. I'm a big fan of Dead Space (and Visceral Games for that matter), but Dead Space 3 looks like they're reaching a bit too hard. I think they could use a fresh start for awhile and then come back with a killer Dead Space in a few years.
Yeah, but the 'word' here is still FPS, even if you don't use it. so: Visceral Games’ “Exciting New IP” Could be an FPS or Visceral Games’ “Exciting New IP” Could be a First Person Shooter
are both correct, but you can't go with a FPS because the word in use here is the short form, and that's pronounced with an eff.
Sorry it's not even that big of a deal. I read just about everything by the abbreviation (RPG, RTS, PS3). FPS and TPS are the only exceptions I can think of. People can read it differently.
Well technically 5 years ago. After Cod 4 any new FPS Ip was considered exciting because the game could be influenced by "Cod 4's style." If only we would of known the FPS genre would turn for the worst.
Another FPS...sigh.. Also where the hell (no pun intended) is the sequel to Dante's Inferno. There has to be more, the ending made it seem that way. That and there is two more poems after Inferno.
If Visceral is making an FPS, then I'm very much excited. Yes i agree that we have enough FPS games this gen, but I know for a fact that this won't be an ordinary military FPS. Look at the games that they've developed. They are very creative games that explore really cool worlds and universes that stretch the mind. I'm talking about DeadSpace. Really cool enemy designs too, and a wide selection of enemies.
The reason I'm excited is because this is going to be a unique FPS game, I know it. I'm guessing that it will have cool weapons and great variety in enemies and cool environments.
If it's from the guys who made DeadSpace, then it's going to be unique in some way respectively.
of War
please for the love of god we have enough FPS already as it is!
...it was apparently “heavily backed by EA leadership” and that it was a “thrilling online action shooter game”...
Translation: lots and lots of DLCs.
nah
And I'm sorry for being interested in a game
If the F is pronounced eff, it gets an an, rather than an a. Words like fart, however, are pronounced differently, so it's a fart.
so:
Visceral Games’ “Exciting New IP” Could be an FPS
or
Visceral Games’ “Exciting New IP” Could be a First Person Shooter
are both correct, but you can't go with a FPS because the word in use here is the short form, and that's pronounced with an eff.
*exiting new ip*
"yayyyy =)"
*fps*
=(
