LAG: Swing King Review

One of the hard parts about reviewing IOS games, apart from the tiresome bother of jetting to exotic locations, accepting free games and expensive swag, and being invited to exclusive parties (Note: none of this has happened), is reviewing a title which, because of the high number of copycat games in the App Store, is almost identical to at least 47 others. Yes, that’s an exaggerated number, but probably not by much.

At first glance, ‘Swing King’ doesn’t appear all that different from the plethora of physics based puzzlers that have you pull back on your character to employ a dotted line which charts your trajectory. But first glances aren't what it's all about, and taking a bit of time with ‘Swing King’ uncovers a puzzler that although not original, stands out with a charm all of its own. (iPad, iPhone, Swing King) 80/100
