Feature: Castlevania's Gory PlayStation Bloodline

Push Square: "Konami’s Castlevania series may have established its reputation on Nintendo consoles, but in recent years it has branched out to find commercial and critical success on other systems, most notably the PlayStation line of consoles. I own a game store, and am often asked what my favorite game of all time is. Like most of you I am sure it is a hard question to answer.

After pondering I think I have settled and it is Castlevania Symphony of the Night. I have finished this game at least 10 times, found every item, every secret, every glitch, and loved every second of it.

Amazing look, music, and gameplay. Love it!

My favorite series of all time. One of the first games I ever received for Xmas was the original castlevania on NES. I did enjoy the first Lords of Shadow and will no doubt pick up the sequel, but with Cox and mecurysteam leaving the franchise I'd love to see IGA get another shot and make just an epic 2D, HD outing.

I love castlevania series.. NES-PS3.. SOTN is the game that made me fall in love with it tho.. LOS was the 1st 3D one that i ended up enjoying too.. Cant wait for LOS2 & possibly mirror of fate on 3DS if it scores well.. I just hope they dont tone down the violence because its for a nintendo handheld.. The DS versions were really good but not as bloody as SOTN.. Thats just the best 2D action rpg ever made
