First Disgaea 1 and now 2? If I didn't already have the discs and a backwards compatible Ps3 I'd so buy these. Everyone who is a JRPG fan should play these tittles, very hardcore and very fun. The story doesn't take itself too seriously but the funny characters bring it life.
wow I didn't even know Disgaea 1 was on Ps2 Classics. But agreed, if you haven't played these games, just do yourself a favor and pick them up.
One thing that is dumb though is no announcement yet for Disgaea 4 Vita. But I'm thinking we'll get an announcement soon and it willl come out sometime in Summer or Fall 2013.
This is a definite buy for me. Disgaea 2 is the only game in the series I don't technically own. Especially if it's only 9.99. That's a steal for a Disgaea game.
Yeah, sucks that I haven't had a chance to play through it yet. That'll change very soon though apparently. I played a little of it on an emulator, but wanted to wait until I actually bought it to play through it. (Always want to support NIS in any way possible lol.)
I have 3 and 4 on my list to get and didn't realize the 1st was on PSN . I will have to definitely get it because disgaea looks like a really amazing series i could get into.
What are some of your favorite features of the series? I would like to hear opinions.
Well Disgaea 1 comes out next week and IMO has the best story and set of characters, maybe because I played it when it first came out lol. But I do recommend playing it first because its the "purest" of the games you're going to get because the sequels just add more to the systems developed in the first.
But there are ALOT of features in Disgaea games and truthfully its the way all of them are weaved together that make the game so great. The grid styled turn-based combat, character creation, worlds within items you can grind in, geo panels etc. etc. the list goes on.
Unless they're remastered collections I usually won't buy them, I already have them on disc for my PS2 (which is still hooked up to the TV) so can't see the point if there is nothing extra.
Although to anyone that doesn't own Disgaea 1 or 2 and likes SRPG's, I completely recommend these, but be prepared to lose hours upon hours of your time :)

But I agree, Disgaea 4 with the HD sprites would look great on the Vita. They just announced Disgaea D2 which continues Laharl's story too!

Nothing was pissing me off more than when I go for a "PS2 Classic" and I'm greeted with "who lives in a pineapple under the sea".
