They released Call of Juare: The Cartel around the same time so yeah, I think that affected the quality of both product...

Along with the things mention in the article I wish the Dead Island games would include offline co-op/split-screen.

Dead Island has TONS of potential. I really enjoyed the first game, but these gripes are legitimate. They really could have done more. Still...great first outing for the series. Definitely getting Riptide.

Sorry no take everything that made fallout or borderlands fun out, add to it ridiculously fragile weapons, infinitely respawning enemies and enemies that put usian bolt to shame.

Add in worthless junk that gets converted to money and meaningless fetch quests where you have to kill 50 zombies just to reach the objective and you got dead island.

better story
less glitches
a lot less tech issues

believe it or not if story improves along with the usual jump in a sequel production value wise than next dead island game could be great.

i want dead island to have the jump quality wise that uncharted 2 had compare to uncharted 1. make everything that much bigger/better
