From DS1 to DS2 there were way less scares and tension and more action orientated set pieces. Now they're adding co op and enemies that can shoot? Garbage.

I pre ordered the collectors edition of 2 on the spot, but after that disappointment, never again.

@dgonza40

It is true - DS2 was more action oriented with larger set pieces. However, it still was a great game to a lot of people - myself included. Like others, if DS1 was my Alien, DS2 was my Aliens: both great games for different reasons. I hold heavy concerns for this game, but I hold judgement until I see what the final product offers.

Sure I can question the quality of what the final product might be, and I do with many games including this one - but I cannot accurately state it with utmost certainty until we see its release. And if Root thought the franchise was ruined in DS2, well he sure didn't state it.

@root they didn't ruin anything! You are an idiot
Root  +   132d ago
Yes they did

They've done what Capcom did to RE6

Oh and an idiot...wow way to be immature and go so low to personal attacks.

Comparing the Dead Space franchise to the RE franchise is honestly ridiculous. Resident Evil lost it's way years ago. Dead Space 2 may not be as scary as the original, but it's a lot more innovative with it's scares to keep it fresh. A talking protagonist is new and takes some of the fear factor away, but they have by no means ruined the franchise like Capcom has with RE. We have yet to see if what you're assuming is true. Why don't we save our judgments until the game comes out?

LOL $160

Yeah the F right.

Heart of the Swarm Collector's Eeition is $80 and comes with just as much stuff.

For one, you're comparing an expansion CE to a full game CE. Secondly, this actually includes about twice as much "stuff" as the Heart of the Swarm Expansion CE. $160 is on the high end for CE's but in my opinion, you're getting your money's worth.
