It looks like a game that was not intended to be released will be the first to fall into a category that happens when a new generation of console systems is on the way.
It has offered anything new in years MVP baseball by EA was So good, what if EA still made MVP how great would it be by now? Or wold it be like madden where early one new feature equal to people going nuts and buy a rehashed game MLB the show is much much better game and series
I agree and The Show is my baseball game of choice. However, I really enjoyed the last NCAA baseball by EA (2006, I think). I'm not sure the direction it would have taken under EA, but I also presume it would be similar to Madden. However, I'm an every other year sports game buyer, and The Show hasn't changed significantly in the past couple of years outside of additional controls in '12. I think it's the nature of the beast though, since they can't change the core gameplay without changes in the real life MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA etc... Backbreaker tried to switch football up and failed commercially. I'm not sure how The Bigs ended up, but I can't imagine it sold a lot of copies since I haven't heard much about it recently.
The Show is clearing the reigning champion. Not sure why there isn't too much competition in this area (someone mentioned to me 2K has a lock on the MLB license that prevents 3rd party publishers like EA from using it which is lame if true) and why 2K doesn't push as much as their basketball games.
2k gave up the exclusive rights so now anyone can make it I think EA will jump in next year so a return to MVP baseball next year is possible
Is this a joke ? 2K's deal with MLB was up after last game. I thought they didn't have the rights to make an MLB game anymore and we haven't heard anything until now ? Is this legit ?
