Why the PlayStation 3 Had the Best Indie Scene of 2012
Leviathyn.com | 2012 was the year of the Indie developers, and few platforms had as many unique and interesting indie games as the PlayStation 3. Cassidee takes a look at the three exclusive games that brought the platform to prominence.
(Journey, Papo & Yo, PS3, The Unfinished Swan)
From what I gather Sony looks after indie developers and offers them a plaform that they can use to not only make a profitable game but also one with total creative freedom.
I disagree with the article, just a bit. PC had the best indie scene in 2012, in my opinion. PS3 had the best "artsy" scene in 2012 with the games the author mentioned (Unfinished Swan, Journey, Papa & Yo) but PC had a greater number of good indie games that have lasted me a greater amount of hours.
FTL alone has lasted me more hours than those three games combined (though to be fair, I dropped Papa & Yo after two hours).
