Top 5 PS2 RPGs I wish I'd played

What's stopping you?

I think once you get used to HDMI, it's hard to go back. It's strange. For example, I have the Digital Devil Saga Episode 1 I believe, but I haven't gotten started on it since I don't personally like the pix-elated graphics. This however, isn't the same for the Wii tough.

I wish they made a last PS2 model with HDMI. lol

Because I don't know what is it with TVs these days that if is not HDMI it makes the image look ugly. Just the other day I was thinking about starting to stream games again on JTV/Twitch but I only have a capture card that accepts component (which is much better than composite BTW) and my mind was blown by how uglier the image of the PS3 was compared to when I use it with HDMI.

Actually, they did make a Ps2 to HDMI up-scaler which makes the game look amazing, but as stated earlier it still doesn't change the fact that it's only upscales the graphics and not the the pixels themselves, and actually add more substance.

Also, I totally understand what you mean. Before I got a HDTV, I used to use the fat screen SDTV, and the games looked great on them. However, when you played it on an HD, it look without a doubt 110% better!

So play your PS2 games on the PC. Pop it into the drive and download PCSX2.

Every ps2 owner that likes jrpg's should play Dragonquest VIII:Journey of the cursed king. Easily 1 of the best the ps2 has to offer in general, and imo the best ps2 jrpg.

Why not go out, find the games, and play them?
The Ps2 isn't that old nor are the games uber rare or anything on that list. I'm currently working my way backwards on the Ps3 catalog of games. Playing old games you missed out on due to financial or other reasons isn't anything to be ashamed of.

If this person really regrets not playing those games, he'd go out and actively try to find a way to get and play them.

he probably can't handle teh outdated graphics....

Yeah most likely. There are people I know that are like that. I recommended Xenogears to someone and they couldn't play it because it was ps1 game. They loved the crap out of Xenosaga, but wouldn't give Xenogears a chance because it was a ps1 game...

And this is the reason why HD remakes are relevant. So these types of people can play a game without really complaining about how out-dated it looks.
