Walking Dead Survival Instinct: official trailer & screens surface

VG247: Walking Dead: Survival Instinct has received a new batch of official screens from publisher Activision, showing off Michael Rooker’s character, plenty of undead walkers and ruined city streets. Remember, Terminal Reality says it’s not an FPS. (PC, PS3, The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, Wii U, Xbox 360)

No gameplay it couldnt be possible that activision is keeping a secret from us right? That the game sucks? They must have been pissed about that leaked gameplay video now they cant sell this on the series hype alone. Let it bomb.

This is like the cheap movie-based games, naive people buy them without looking for gameplay because they just liked the movie.

I thought you were being overly negative about the game being from activision, then I saw that it's releasing in march.

that game was no where near ready a month ago, this is quite upsetting

That Call of Duty 4 engine has been showing its age since 2009. This actually looks terrible, like Activision is trying to cash-in on Telltale's Walking Dead game and the TV series.

They are cashing in on the TV series, DUH!

This game looks terrible. The Walking dead is a great franchise and deserves better.
I'd play Dead Island over this any day.

This looks so basic and plain. It looks like a mod (a poor one at that) that is a work in progress rather than a full fledged retail game.

I'm amazed they even bothered to officially release these screens. At least with the fan made trailer you could say 'well, it's a work in progress'. Now though Terminal Reality, have basically confirmed it is as bad as it looked in that trailer.

And sorry Terminal Reality, but clearly it is an FPS, and judging from the fanmade trailer, not a good one.

Dissapointed that they didn't show gameplay, as I would have liked them to have shown us that the game has changed since that leaked "early" gameplay video.

Still, seeing Daryl and Merle was good.

haha you know its gonna suck when the first trailer is a bunch of actors/celebrities taunting the game.

It looks like the other walking dead video game except without the cell shadyness to it. They also look bleh. Maybe it'll be one of those games where the gameplay is fun but the graphics are bad.

I was almost excited to see them prove people wrong. Then 1 min later I remembered why I refuse to ever buy anything published by Activision.

They need to rename the company Lackofvision.

First off...that was not a trailer. I don't know what you would call that but it isn't a trailer in my book. In my book a game trailer actually shows off something from the game other than a title screen.

Secondly, Those screen shots look like exactly we saw earlier in the month which the developer said was extremely early/not polished build.

This is looking less and less positive and more and more like garbage license IP.

Edit: If you are looking for a zombie survival game to be excited for, check out State of Decay.

These textures scream rush job! This doesn't sit well with me, having a slight interest in the game. It looks like a sloppy cash in.

these guys have been cashing in on the last 20 COD games so why are people complaining NOW? idiots. I will buy this game. Just like everyone buys a COd every 6 months.
