The music industry took too long to recognize game music as worthy of the Grammy

VB - Composer Austin Wintory — perhaps best known for his outstanding score for Thatgamecompany’s PlayStation 3 exclusive, Journey — has been nominated for a Grammy. This marks the first time since games became eligible for the award back in 2000 that a complete game score has actually received such recognition. (Culture, Journey)

There's a good deal of very talented musical artists in the gaming industry. Some leagues better than many of those working in blockbuster movies, IMO.

So yeah, what the top guy^^ said.
