Sony chats up future of Music Unlimited, PlayStation Store

probably end up using this more than the actual PS store to buy stuff. Wish it had auto queue downloading though

Sony Network Entertainment COO Shawn Layden said "Eventually, the Web store will allow users to buy a game on the browser and have that content automatically downloaded on the PlayStation 3." For now auto downloads is playstation plus only feature but maybe PS4 will have it as standard. The next system and itteration of PSN will have this built in from the start, built and around always better than tacked on. I would also like a music unlimited boombox for Home.

Sony... For the love of god... FIX YOUR PS STORE! It's horrible, much worse than the old one.

I have to agree with you, I dont like the new psn store one bit, the other day I was looking for psmove games and I could not find one.

same for me i remember in the last week before they changed the design it was possible to preorder Sports Champions 2 with the free DLC but no way i could find it when the new version came out.

I agree as well. I really dont like the new one. Some things are good, but most of sucks. And at least for me, takes a longer to open up.

I too agree, I rarely use it now; all I do is visit the blog for updates. It really needs to go!

as i said before, this store should of been pushed for next gen. its better to have stuff like this built in to the system.

besides, this thing is way too slow...

hopefully they prove me wrong by fixing it.

The old one was perfect, don't know why they changed it. All I had to do was click PS store, download what I'm looking for then done. Now I have to open an app, and that's as far as I'm going lol.

I'm not entirely sure what the difference is. However, I must say that having to update my store account upon entry is very irritating, hopefully this will solve the problem.

I actually kind of like the new PS Store, but the Android Music Unlimited App is awful! I do save a lot of money on the Music Unlimted PS Plus offer, but fix your product! And a little bigger selection wouldn't hurt either.

"Layden emphasized that the recent PlayStation Store redesign led to double-digit growth in the U.S. and Europe, and users were spending more time browsing there, as well"

Man Layden is full of shit!! I drastically decreased the time spent on the Store cause the new design is maybe nice to look at but it works so bad, so slow and too hard for me to find what i want. And clicking 20 times to DL a damn demo i understand why he says people spend more time on the store -_-

And you definitely represent the majority.

Oh, wait..
Y_5150  +   709d ago
I hate the new store mainly cause it's slower than the old.

No competent journalist, or halfway decent pretend-journalist, would have let an interview like that slip without bringing that up. I mean, hell, he goes so far as to say:

"Layden emphasized that the recent PlayStation Store redesign led to double-digit growth in the U.S. and Europe, and users were spending more time browsing there, as well. He agreed that the previous design, which remained in place for nearly six years, was a frustration due to its lack of change."

We're spending more time browsing because it takes 72 seconds (yes, I timed it) to load up each page!

Vita store design layout is perfect Sony better not F it up.

BRING BACK THE OLD STORE! IT WAS PERFECT!
BuffMordecai  +   709d ago
The dumbest thing about this store is that you can't search for things alphabetically within each letter, instead you have all these categories that may or may not have what you are looking for or have a huge list of everything jumbled together. Its a complete clusterfuck. I wouldn't doubt it if this new store is hindering potential sales due to its clunkiness.

"Layden emphasized that the recent PlayStation Store redesign led to double-digit growth in the U.S. and Europe, and users were spending more time browsing there, as well"

Users are spending more time browsing because the store is so much slower and harder to navigate. It takes 3 times longer to find what you are looking for.

Where are the Japanese releases in the new store?
I loved the old store and the Japanese PS classics you could by. I can not find it in the new one. I know some of the classics are there but I couldnt find Sonic WIngs and others.
