"2012 was supposed to be the end of the world," he began. "Instead, it was the beginning of ours. Halo 4, despite being the seventh or eighth game in the Halo series (depending on how you count them), was our first game. That is to say, our first-ever fully fledged title, built from the ground up creatively and technologically.
Is he actually saying best game or best selling game in the series because to me it appears as if he's saying the latter.
He is NOT selling "best" selling, not yet at least.
I was!
polyphony digital for a new franchise on PS?
Even if it's a small PSN/XBLA type game. I know i'd certainly welcome more random games like Tokyo Jungle and Journey.
Seeing as the X360 held H4 back in terms of scale etc.
Worst Halo campaign since 2, and the MP is average at best. Not totally fucking it up was a major achievement, but it's not the best anything.
IMO: Halo 3 > Halo:CE = Reach > Halo 2 > ODST > Halo 4
Halo 4- 87 metacritic score.
Best in the series?
Metacritic is broken- only because of a couple of downright ridiculous reviews did it get down-voted.
As time goes on and generations pass games have different expectations.
Comparing the same game across different generations isn't the same as comparing two different games in the same genre with media reviewing the offereings of both.
Twilight is still right and you failed.
So many variables in comparing the same game across the series life span, Amount of Reviwers, how old the series is etc.
When reviewers review the different games in the same genre they use benchmark approaches and not just *if its changed or stayed the same* approach
The real order according to most actual fans:
Halo CE>Halo 2>Halo 4>Halo 3>Halo Reach>Halo ODST.
I do however think that the campaign of Halo 4 is probably the 3rd best in the series behind Halo CE and Halo 3. Jump heights, player speed and shot detection are all the best the series has seen since halo 2 as well. And once the BR was implemented and load outs were taken out of competitive play it started to feel a little more like the good old days of Halo 2 and 3 and not the jetpacking boltshot camping fest it has become of late. For me Halo 4 could have been the best in the series, but 343 lack in supporting competitive play turned me off from it. Here's to hoping Halo 5 will be good for both casuals and competitive players alike.
lol..
Halo CE is only my #1 in the franchise because I hold such strong nostalgia towards it remembering the times using XBC or Gamespy to portal into multiplayer and play online matches with my buddy on blood gulch. Subtract the nostalgia I had....Halo 4 all the way.
hell even reach's multiplayer aint that bad compared to 4
I really don't understand why people metacritic to justify how good a game is when it is all a matter of personal preference. For example, just because Halo 4 scored lower on metacritic than Halo 1 does not mean its universally accepted that it is the worse between the two.
halo 2 95%
halo 3 94%
halo reach 91%
halo 4 87%
and that's the best in the series ?!!!
and the game is very very short
it took me 5 hours to finish on hard
the only thing it did right .. that it was finaly an HD game
halo 3 was the best imo
i only buy it for my younger sister to play it on xbox
check my live account
so i don't know
and that what halo4 took me to finish
the game is good but far from the best halo game
halo 3 was the last best halo i played
Halo 4 is has as short of a campaign as, resistance, uncharted, killzone and god of war. The big difference is. Halo 4 also has, Multiplayer, Spartan ops, Forge, Custom game modes, Theater mode. The ps3 exclusives dont.
Actually Microsoft only post sales. Sales arent impossible to track because the shops microsoft ship their console to send them reports on how many were sold whenever they make a new order. You clearly have no idea how this works.
I have A ps3, I had PSN+ i got rid of it as soon as they said there cant be party chat, I barely use my ps3 because it doesnt have party chat.
All the PS3 fans who have sony goggles such as yourself say it isnt necessary but everyone else says it is.
Nice job spamming me with comments, Pms then when i reply you block me, What you said to me in the pms and this comment prove you are nothing but a Fanboy.
Feel free to respond but i guess you know im right so wont bother. Hense why you blocked me in the first place.
Here's another way to think about it. As an investor, would you put money into a company that shipped millions of units into various outlets but didn't report them until they sold? I like knowing absolutes when I invest, and that wouldn't cut it.
Your a moron who clearly has no idea how a business works. When i ship a product to a company its because they bought that product from me, When i then get another order from that same company its because they sold out of that same product.
Which means i know how many they are selling.
Sure you arent going to get an absolutely accurate number but your going to get a relatively close estimate.
ILIVE
yep you're write im the fanboy who like both consoles equally, buys all the exclusives, plays also the games and wants both company's to do well so that i benefit from it.
Yep you caught me im a straight up fanboy. Moron.
You ever wonder why you don't see Microsoft trucks pulling up to Walmart? And no, they don't FedEx them everyday, they come in on the Walmart truck en masse from the warehouse. That's when units get tracked, when the warehouse gets stocked. Ugh, I shouldn't even bother, with all your business knowledge you can't even spell "you're" correctly.
But honestly, don't even compare the length of Halo 4's campaign. It was too short, hell Call of Duty Black Ops 2's campaign was longer than Halo 4's..
Forza >>>> Gran Turismo 5
You seriously trying to reason with him? If he decided to not buy a game based off a few (deluded fanboy) coments, he was never a fan in the first place.
I am one of the few people I know(probably the only one I know) who enjoyed EVERY halo game. I though ODST was amazing. So was Reach.
I rate Halo 4 either 2nd or equal first with CE. Few games have wowed me this gen, and Halo 4 was one of them. Every halo game is a 10/10 experience for me, as I love learning more about the universe and characters from the books.
Ask the long time Halo fans. From what I've gathered, I think most are disappointed. I've been huge into Halo since 2003, we did tons of Halo 1 and 2 LAN parties as well as tons of time on Halo 2 and 3 and a fair amount of Reach on Xbox Live. I don't know anyone who went to the Halo 1 LAN parties who still plays Halo 4.
Sorry, Halo 4 is FAR from being best in the series.
TO BE FAIR: Frankie never said it was the best game in the series, the title is very misleading. He said "Halo 4 is the best and fastest-selling Halo game in the series." The best selling, not the best game.
I think, for all of the flaws of Halo 4, one has to remember that the studio was constantly building itself from the ground-up, with the majority of the hiring of their 300+ group occurring in the middle of Halo 4 development. That's one of the main reasons why I applaud 343i for the work they've done in the middle of all of this.
Sure, there are flaws with the game, but what game isn't?
I think the main success with Halo 4's development has to go to the build-up of a studio of major talent. As they begin their work on Halo 5 for the next xbox, starting out as a full studio without having to worry about hiring tons of people is a major plus.
As for the best in the series..
In my belief, I honestly feel that Halo 4 is comparable, but does not surpass, to the best of Halo. In some ways, Halo 4 falters behind and surpasses in others, but, as a whole, it's among the best.
One thing's for sure: Halo 4 is miles ahead and easily crushes Halo Reach.
BUt Halo 4 is still a great entry in the series the multiplayer is its Strongest point. Hopefully Halo 5 will deliver a better campaign.
Halo 4 easily had the best graphics of any Halo game to date.
It's obvious we all have e different opinions of which Halo game is the best. BUT I'd put Halo 4 up there for sure.
In all honesty, I wish all companies and their employees the best of luck with their products.
Tell them to stop copying and pasting the same old garbage, they shouldn't be making that much $ for such a copy and paste video game!
Quiet as kept all the Halos are great in there own right.
I think ODST gets a bad rep but that campaign was one one of my favorites. Running around the city in a pretty much open world format, finding clues and playing flashbacks of your team. The opening sequence of dropping from space is still one of my favorites in the series. But it was just an expansion or add on of Halo 3.
Halo 3 was a culmination of what made Halo 1 & Halo 2 great. It was old school Halo at its best. Very basic solid and solid. The jump to to Reach may have thrown some off because now they started integrating new tech in to the series. Reach still has the best tactical balance in the series. The armor abilities allows players to create styles that really suit them making everyone that knows their style potentially super deadly.
Hal 4 toned down the balance of abilities the jet pack doesnt fly as long, Armor lock has been converted into a (pos) shield everyone has sprint standard. But then they tweaked the weapons and extra customizing to make the combat extremely tight. The level design is pretty good in for as well.
I think HAlo 2 and Halo CE get lots of nostalgia point as well but they are classics and milestones so they deserve it.
This franchise needs to be reinvented... how long does "don't fix what isn't broken" actually work? till before you know it... your beating a dead horse!
