Personally:

#1 - God of War: Collection*
(The only one I actually replayed completely through and platinumed both, so I have to give it the top spot.)

#2 - Metal Gear Solid: Collection
(Barely played it so far [I beat the originals and was hoping for MGS1 HD], but still a great collection and deserved the HD treatment)

#3 - Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection
(Beat SotC again. Still haven't played Ico, but plan to eventually)

#4 - God of War: Origins Collection*
(The PSP remakes; own it, haven't played it yet, but will eventually.)

#5 - Ratchet & Clank Collection
(Owned the originals, haven't bought or played this yet, but will.)

*God of War Saga obviously includes both #1 & #4 Origins, but Origins isn't on-disc. I prefer on-disc.

Some other HD remasters/remakes I'd buy (not collections, I know):
Half-Life HD (or a Black Mesa console release)

Test Drive: Eve of Destruction HD (preferably included with an EoD2 release on PS4)

Prince of Persia Trilogy

Jak and Daxter and Sly

I haven't played the Ratchet one yet :/
Ilovetheps4  +   683d ago
My favorite is Jak and Daxter. I enjoyed that series a ton in the PS2 days and it's still incredibly fun today. Such a great series.

1. Ico Collection
2. GoW Collections
3. Halo CE
4. Metal Gear
5. Ratchet

etc, etc, etc... but those 5 are awesome.

EDIT: I guess Halo CE technically isn't a collection... but it is awesome.

EDIT2: Oh, and Okami HD... it's not a collection either, but I'm playing it right now, and it's awesome.

Anything thats 2 games or more for 40$ or below.
Bathyj  +   683d ago
Didnt buy the whole trilogy but I loved SC Chaos Theory HD.

The last great Splinter Cell game and the best in the series.

Ico was awesome. I think that game will still be great in 20 years.

So many others are worth buying buy those two stood out for me.

the metal gear hd collection is definitely the best looking one
silkrevolver  +   683d ago
I think the Metal Gear Collection is great, because it let me play Peacewalker for the first time.

Though the Sly games held up extremely well with an HD upres.
Jak collection. Out of the big 3 Jak was always my favorite.
Nykamari  +   683d ago
Tough choice for me!! God of War and MetalGear were the best!!!! Zone of the Enders not too far off!!!!! I wish they would do Syphon Filter HD collections!!!! <----- Praying for it.
Bathyj  +   683d ago
I dont get why Siphon Filter has not gotten any love this gen. Seems like a missed opportunity.
jc48573  +   683d ago
Zone of the Enders was a bit disappointing. It's playable, but experience isn't on par with the originals in terms of performance. I do like the new intro and appreciate the extra artbook they brought in. In the end, ZOEHD > SHHDC

I know what's the worst.

Silent Hill HD Collection.

Really don't have a favorite one, but any one of them that I own plays better than Silent Hill HD Collection by miles.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD Ver.
i didn't have a ps2, so the hd collections have been amazing

i have sly, jack, ratchet, and ico, out of those, ico, because it let me play shadow of the colossus
Murad  +   683d ago
The MGS collection. I mean seriously, not only is the HD fantastic, but it's actually fully converted into HD graphics, and still as good as the PS2 games. Additionally, there are 5 games in one, what's there not to like?
Summons75  +   683d ago
Team ico collection
Metal gear
Jak & daxter
Ratchet and clank
Halo CE
Devil may cry
Zone of the Enders

Getal Mear !

Metal Gear Solid

Almost every other HD collection I've played had lame 4:3 FMV or framerate issues. So it's an easy choice.

Jek_Porkins  +   683d ago
I don't usually go in for HD Collections, but I enjoyed the God Of War Saga, Jak And Daxter Collection, Sly Cooper Collection, Metal Gear Solid Collection and as a standalone I loved Halo CEA, which was totally redone and set the bar for remakes in my opinion.
TrendyGamers  +   683d ago
Yeah, they definitely put a lot of work into the Halo remake.
BigStef71  +   683d ago
I just started playing the Jak and Daxter collection because I never got a chance to play them on ps2 but with that said the first game so far is a blast!!!! Do the games get better as you play through the whole trilogy? I love HD collections I get to play the old ps2 games I never experienced like ratchet and clank trilogy sly collection Ico/shadows of the colossus God of War 1 and 2 killzone 1
ColinZeal  +   683d ago
