Is Sony Hinting Towards a Tales of Vesperia PS3 Port for the West?
PS Euphoria: The "Tales of.." fans are at a buzz from Sony’s recent PlayStation Plus poll set up by the PlayStation Blog as it faintly mentions Tales of Vesperia. Is this hinting towards Tales of Vesperia being released in the West?
(PS3, Tales of Vesperia)
Isn't Tales of Xillia already confirmed for the West for the second half of this year? I can't see a Western version of Vesperia coming out if Xillia sticks to that release period.
@Minato: Seems a little unlikely considering how troublesome it seems for Namco to localise Xillia, but who knows I guess. Just personally I'd be surprised if they decided to localise this as well as that.
PLEASE & THANK U!!! Vita too i hope.. After bioware went multiplat, vesperia was the only exclusive they had that held me back from getting rid of my 360.. If i see the far superior ps3 version get localized, bye bye 360.. For good
Hell yeah, that would be awesome. And this is after playing Vesperia twice already on 360. It's still a great game, but all the additions makes the 360 version look like a beta in comparison.
Yes, not many good JRPG's this gen for home consoles, I heard Vesperia was good so I'd rather play that than try to play that uh, well, Final ... Fantasy.. XIII
Final fantasy 13 hate from a guy with a picture of cloud....way to be a stereotype of haters. I bet you'll deny it when someone tells you 10 and 13 are super similar.
On topic. Tales of vesperia was great on Xbox and I heard the ps3 one was suppose to be better so ill welcome it. Love the ales series.
so kefka picture makes you superior? cant ff6 and ff7 fans get along?
Also just because 13 had a much inferior version of leveling to sphere grid, doesnt make the games the same.
there are a ton of things that 10 does well, 13 is just painful to think about. I mean 75% of game was like a tutorial to show you how to use autobattle.
Says the person with Kefka.. lol I've actually played FFX and FFXIII, and both are actually very different, with some few similarities.
Final Fatasy X is turn-based with random battles, limit breaks, it has a fixed camera angle, it has some puzzles (cloister of trials), it is less linear (in nearly everything), ability to switch characters in between battles, it has far more instances of NPC's and shops, etc.
They're only similar in terms of the upgrading/leveling system. The storytelling and characters are better in FFX, by default.
Look at Mass Effect. It released during 2007 for Xbox 360. It's been 5 years since then and it was finally put on the PlayStation Network during December.
I have both 360 and PS3 so I don't care. I suppose it would be nice, but they've already localized it once. When has Namco ever released a Tales game on more than one game system in a region? Only in Japan.
This would be awesome!!! With all the extra content on the PS3 version, I would gladly buy it a second time. Even if it`s just a psn release, RELEASE IT!!! :D
But Vesperia was pretty good too.
:)

And the battle system and story are very different
So he has his reasons for ff13 hate

It's certain at this point it's not gonna happen ever. Also, Namco shut down any rumors and said it wasn't happening.
So the answer would seem to be no, they aren't imo.
