Games For Windows Live is at it again. This time users of the new Windows 8 operating system are having issues getting the service to even run. Here is a quick, easy, and viable fix to get your gaming on. (Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, Games for Windows - LIVE, Microsoft, PC)

Pathetic, Microsoft. Absolutely pathetic. You didn't even test enough that your crappy service worked on the new OS? Valve and Blizzard were right.

I had the same problem with Dark Souls and GTA IV. I just installed Microsoft Flight which installs the right version of GFWL then I uninstalled Microsoft Flight.

I had this issue with a game called Section8. Never got it to work.

The more I use Windows 8 the more i hate it.
I am currently now using another pc with Ubuntu till i decide if I should remove Windows8 completely. I still need windows for school and some games i bought on Steam.
