I hate to say it but I've been spoiled by Sony's Pulse Elite's. It's so multipurpose & uncluttered, I even use them as regular headphones with my phone. (even wirelessly via powered usb)
We are in a good age of Headsets now. I used Razer in the past and love my Corsair Vengeance. I also love our Astro A50. Now Turtle Beach, Sony, have stepped up, and Steelseries is always very good. Tritton have been making some nice ones as well.
Turtle Beach has gone overboard with their headsets. I remember when there was only 2-3 options....wired and wireless COMBINED. Now, they release 3-5 "new" headsets, with every release of a major game and/or console...it's just ridiculous. The bad thing is, they all have the same issues, if you read reviews. TB needs to spend less resources on re-packaging the same tech, and more on R&D to improve the tech going forward.
The main difference is rechargeable battery which is a plus, but if that batter goes out, you have to wait for turtle beach to fix it or buy a new pair, whereas you can buy rechargeable batteries for $10, and be set.
