GameZebo: 2013 may have only just begun, but in my living room, the science fiction future is already here. Lost in the moment, I speed down the impossibly twisty highway in my hovercraft racer, careening around corners with the finish line in my sights. For a fleeting, but all-important microsecond I lose focus, slamming unforgivingly into a tunnel wall.
Ever since the early days of Android, developers have been trying to craft their own perfect WipeOut clone. Starting with Speed Forge 3D, all the way through the recent – and especially blatant – FlashOut, they’ve been chasing the impossible speed and twisting, futuristic tracks of Psygnosis’ classic hovercraft racer, and frankly, none of them have come that close. Repulze seems, on the surface, to be one of the most overt copycats yet, but ultimately surprises with some actual originality.

Pocket Gamer: Repulze may not be as feature packed as some of its rivals, but the focused gameplay and stunning visuals ensure that speed lovers will extract full entertainment value from it.
